why won't my d/dvd dual drive to initalize on my blank dvd media ?

Hi. I assume you have a DVD burner. To burn a DVD requires additional software, especially if you bought a DVD burner and it did not come with a CD. A lot of people like Nero http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_applications/nero.cfm
I use ImgBurn http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/imgburn.cfm but it is not as simple, just free. Good luck!
