How do I change the speed. My Motherboard says it can handle up to 800Mhz. The ram is Ocz Gold XTC 2x1 Gb. My motherboard is an ECS junker BUT it says it can do 800Mhz. I have looked in the bios and see nowhere about changing ram speed or timings. Just how much I have installed.

First 667 memory cannot run at 800mhz. 2nd ECS is not really a overclocking motherboard and 3rd it's according to the speed of the cpu itself. What speed/model is the cpu?
You might also look for bios updates. Sometimes it corrects memory issues (according to what it fixes).

Edit: not saying it's a POS, just not really a overclocker. Little strange to show 200, it would show 667mhz. Look up the motherboard in the above link and check the bios files/download. There MIGHT be a fix for it displaying it like that.

Is your motherboard FSB (front side bus) running at 800 mhz? That sounds right, but doesn't necessarily mean that's how fast the memory can run. It should tell you that it supports b/w PC xxxx and PC yyyy memory speeds.

Also, are you using more than 1 memory stick? If both are not at the same speed, they might under clock themselves to a common denominator.

You won't be able to change RAM speed in the BIOS or PC anywhere, it will clock itself.

What you are talking about is called overclocking. All motherboards are different so you will have to find the manual for instructions. This is something you don't want to mess around with unless you know what you're doing. You can also take it to a pc tech for assistance.
