There are so many styles to choose from and they change not only every year but every season. Some of the styles are so cool One can't help but buy a pair. Its nice to have at least one pair of shoes that fits in the season
I like really unusual shoes a pair that someone has never seen before.
Its quite fascinating when you end up with the shoes that no one has ever seen before and others will ask where did you get them. They are fantabulous.
Why though the question remains.
I guess its the same thing as how many pairs of pants can one own.
I think it has to do with style style style

I am 35 years old and was never really "into" shoes until the last couple of years. While I was in college I was happy if I had a comfortable pair of tennis shoes and maybe a trendy pair of boots for the winter and sandles for the summer.
However, now that I can actually afford more than 3 pairs of shoes I've noticed that I tend to buy pairs that I only have one or two outfits that match the shoes.
Interesting question.

I never understood the shoe thing.
I have: A pair of tennis shoes.
A pair of hiking boots.
A pair of steel-toed work boots.
A pair of non-steel-toed work boots.
A pair of black flats that I wear with anything dressy.

We just can't help ourselves to the variety of shoe styles. So that is why we have to own every single one of them.

Everything you believe that is natural for your sex is programed into you by society, your guardians and you surroundings. So hence women's love of shoes is programed into them...we are programed to love shoes.
