Why is it when there are conservative views espoused, i.e. Limbaugh, Savage, Fox News, O'Reilly, whatever you name it, its labeled as propaganda and hate speech
But when there are liberal views espoused i.e. CNN, MSNBC, Al Franken, Air America, The View, whatever and what not, its just free speech, good reporting, whatever
Why do liberals label the two differently?

Both liberals and conservatives seem to have this double standard. If you have not heard liberal political bias in the reporting at CNN, MSNBC, or CBS, you aren't paying attention. If you have not heard conservative political bias on O'Reilly, Fox News, or Rush, you aren't paying attention.
All media is slanted one way or another, there is and always will be political bias in the media. That is why you get your information from a variety of sources, maybe watch CNN some days and Fox News other days, and make up your own mind.

I would agree that the kind of double standard you suggest exists. And its wrong.
For my two cents, however, I would like to add that it is very easy to take shots at Limbaugh and O'Reilly, as they are so very disrespectful in their commentary. They are shock jocks, in a sense...so it is difficult to regard anything they say as much more than propaganda. If they held the same views and simply delivered them in a different manner, I would suggest that they would receive a little more credibility...

Because conservatives are the ones expecting everyone to be exactly like them, wheras liberals want people to be able to live their lives as they see fit without being told they're worthless because they're not exactly like the neocon WASPS who spout off about how "Godless" liberals are.
This is America. You don't even have to BELIEVE in God in this country.

Both sides label things to suit their own agenda.
It's a common political tactic of both sides -- attack the other side using whatever emotional rhetoric you can.

actually "liberal media" is the term that you hear more than anything, I don't hear people whining about the "conservative media", if anyone is whining about media bias, it's the conservatives
