You need a few things
1. Windows XP (Professional is best)
2. Run Network Connection Wizard
3. Join same Workgroup on all computers that you want sharing info.
4. Use Remote Desktop for additional accessibility

Another option...
logmein.com ---- Hamachi

Open "My Computer" and to the left second pane u will see "other places" click on "My Network Places". Now assuming that all the computers on Ur home network wired or wireless(don't mater the same for both) have the same "Workgroup name" then the folders that have been selected to share will be visavle. click on the individual computers on the network and open each computer(label by the name u have given it probably durning setup) will show what is being shard.
If u need ferther help email me

you need to det the security up on the computers and the wireless router the address should be something like
http://192.168.1.100 or some thing like that and if there is no password set up then it will be something like user name admin password admin.

but mainly you need to make sure all pc are part of the network and that norton or something wont block it.
then go to my network places then click on view workgroup computers good luck.

You could put an FTP server on one and use the IP to connect to it from the other.
