Heat is the amount of energy an object contains. Temperature is the average speed of the molecules in a substance.

If you needed to get warm, which would you take with you, a red hot pin (temperature is high, heat content low) or a slightly warm tub of water (temperature not so high, heat content high)

Temperature is defined as the condition which determines the flow of heat from one substance to another. This is different from heat.Heat is a form of energy and temperature is a factor which effects the availability of this energy. So, temperature is also known as the degree of hotness of a body.

Heat is the amount of kinetic energy or how fast the particles are moving. Temperature is the average kinetic energy in a given area. It is also worth noting that "cold" does not exist scientifically speaking, there are only lesser degrees of heat. I hope that helps!

Heat is a measure of the total kinetic energy of the molecules involved, so it depends upon the mass. Temperature is a measure of the average kinetic energy of the molecules involved, so it is independent of the mass. (There's more heat in a gallon of boiling water than in a cup of boiling water, but the temperatures are the same.)

Heat is a form of energy, like light or electricity.

Temperature is a measure of how much heat something has. This is like using candlepower to measure the light given off by a bulb, or using volts to describe the potential difference between two electrodes.

Thermal energy (heat) is all kinetic energy of molecules (the more substance the higher thermal energy) temperature is the average kinetic energy in a substance (same for differetnt amount of substance)
