this is my 3rd pregnancy and I don't ever remember being this tired. I feel like I could sleep for days. I hasn't gotten any better, could this be low iron. I'm getting 7-9 hours of sleep each night. I had low iron while I was pregnant with my other 2 kids, but remember being tired

i found out i was anemic around 15 weeks pregnant and they told me that was why i was so tired. I was so tired that i would wake up in the morning, eat something and then lay on the couch and sleep until lunch time and then eat...sleep AGAIN until dinner and then be ready for the long nights rest. Now that i take iron pills i am much more active and awake! I would definetly talk to your doctor about it and see if you need to be on extra iron. Make sure you take your vitamins everyday and that should help!

though i've not been pregnant this information may be useful .
Increased tiredness (fatigue)
Most women have some fatigue during pregnancy, especially during the first and third trimesters. During the first trimester, your body produces higher levels of progesterone, which has been linked to increased tiredness. You may feel more energy during most of your second trimester. Later in pregnancy, the physical demands of a developing baby combined with disrupted sleep can decrease your energy level.

To manage fatigue during pregnancy:

Do not skip meals or go for long periods without eating. Choose nutritious foods.
Exercise regularly—get outside, take walks, keep your blood moving with your favorite workout. If you don't have your usual energy, don't push it.
Try to take frequent rest breaks during the day.
Scale back on nonessential activities and responsibilities.
and also dont take iron supplements b cuz they may make u have morning sickness

When I was on my 3rd pregnancy I was just like you! I could sleep for days!! I think that our bodies just get so tired with taking care of the other two kids and everything else we have to deal with, or bodies just kinda shut down on us!

I'm guessing you're low on iron again, because when I was 19 weeks I had amazing energy. Tell the doctor to check your RBCs.

I'm on my second one and me too! I feel like I can never sleep enough. Now I'm having a girl so I wonder if that has something to do with it? Tell your doc though to be on the safe side. Bless you! You are a busy woman already...no wonder you're tired.

Yes, it could be low iron. Are you taking your pre-natal vitamins?
