This is obviously a "trick" question. The U.S.president's name in 1957 was the same then as it is now...George W. Bush. It never changed since he was born.

If you had asked what was the name of the president in office in 1957, the answer would have been Dwight David Eisenhower. By the way he got the nickname "Ike" from a German gutteral pronounciation of his family name. It was pronounced "Ikenhower" by German speakers and "I-senhower by the average American of the time. Over time the assimiliation occurred and the "I-kenhower " was forgotten.

Searved as President 1953-1961 Dwight D. Eisenhower, the first 5 star General to be elect to be President. His nickname in the WWII was Ike, he led all the arm forces in Europe during the war.
