What events in WWII would now cause a heated debate? I know a topic would be the dropping of the bomb on Japan, and the moving of the Japanese people to camps because of the racism that pearl harbor triggered but is there anymore topics? Around 1943 or so would be good, but any topic is deeply appreciated

There are many "ifs" to debate about.

Eg.

Would Germany have won the European war if Hitler & had gone ahead with Operation Sealion (invasion of England) & not invaded Russia or helped Mussolini in his fiascos?

Would Erwin Rommel had easily defeated British forces in North Africa if he had easier access to war supplies?

Did FDR really know about the Japanese plans to attack Pear Harbour but did nothing in order to stimulate the American public into pro-war attitude?

One was the fact that some of the top US military personel (Patton) wanted to roll over the russian army and defeat them while they were weak, which would have given the US and Britain more territory in Germany after the war. Unfortunately, we didn't do it.

Also, Nationalist Chinese and Comunist Chinese were in the middle of a cival war, which helped Japan easily take Manchuria and the Korean peninsula. We should have backed the Nationalist Chinese, not the comunist chinese. Another mistake.
