I have a new windows computer with altavista. I do not have photoshop on it, nor do I want to go out and buy it. Is there any website where you can use something like photoshop, but for free? Thanks very much. :]

The "GIMP" is an exact replica of Adobe Photoshop, with the exception of a different name. The added benefit is that it is absolutely FREE!! :)

To answer your question, yes, there are web-based image editing sites, but they are not nearly as powerful as Photoshop. Plus, transferring images back and forth over the internet can be slow.
However, if what you really need is a free Photoshop like program, then go to http://www.gimp.org for a completely free high-powered image editing program.
