tough one. Just be there for her and pray for the best. You could tell someone but it might make things harder on her.

Well this is a hell of a drama huh? A girlfriend AND a husband? Yes, I would imagine her life is quite complicated balancing all of that...it is sometimes difficult to know when someone is crying out for help and when someone will actually try to kill themself. Usually when someone has made a decision to actually kill themself they are so relieved that they are finally off the roller coaster, so to speak, that a "calm" ensues and they seem actually very normal prior to killing themselves. However you can not know for sure...yes, you violated a rule, but it would be better if you put yourself out there and go to the appropriate individual(s) and get her some sort of intervention. It is a very bad position you have been placed in, but this may be life or death. Hopefully the powers that be will be lenient with you...good luck!

If someone has tried to commit suicide in the past then they may very well try it again. You don't have to put her job in jeopardy but you do need to act. The police can be anonymously alerted and they can then attempt to locate her. You need to take this seriously but once you have turned it over to the authorities you need to back away from this person as it is obviously not a healthy relationship. My grandmother always said "If you have to hide it, lie about it or pretend you didn't do it then you probably should not be doing it at all!"

you could record quotes. truthfully, finding on your daughter's age and adulthood point, i might recommend chatting together with her and following her lead. She grow to be the single "on the scene," in spite of everything, and is for this reason in the terrific place to choose whether an analyze is sufficient or whether quotes ought to be further. If she's mushy returning to college and thinks this grow to be a one-time incident and that the instructor has discovered her lesson with the aid of the analyze technique, pushing for extra could be an overreaction. instructors are people too, and in a annoying difficulty, might act badly basically like something people. on the different hand, you're a make certain whose baby grow to be hit. If there have been ever a difficulty in which you're totally justified in overreacting, it is it.

Just back away, for your own good. And tell the Dean everything you said here and let her handle it. Threatening suicide is a way to control other people, probably the oldest way in the book. If she's gonna do it, she'll find a way to do it, no matter what!
