Hello everone,

I'm 10 weeks pregnant and really tired all the time.
I also have a toddler who I am running round after most of the day and I end up having to go for a 3 hour afternoon sleep as well.
In my first pregnancy I wasn't as tired as I had a desk job.

Does anyone know when the tiredness ends or any remedies to give me a bit of a lift??

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks,

Sophia

It should end in the second trimester and come back in the third but with a toddler it may not end. I know my second pregnancy was the worst. I was always tired and I had morning sickness the whole time. Try to give your toddler an activity that will keep her/him busy and kick your feet up and relax.

I so know how you feel hun. I am 31 weeks pregnant and I have a 3 year old too. You just don't realise how much harder it is the second time round. I also work in the afternoon till 7 so unfortunately I don't have an afternoon nap I just tend to go to bed about 9 lol.
It will get better in the second trimester but I have to say it does return in the last. I feel like i am carrying a bus sometimes.
Congrats on the pregnancy by the way x

Sadly, the tiredness will be there for a while. You are busy making a new baby while chasing a toddler around. It takes A LOT out of you! You just need to try to nap with the toddler, quiet time when you can etc. I wish I could tell you a "remedy" but I don't know one. I can only say that I've been where you are...and it feels like the exhaustion will never end.......but it does eventually!

For most people it is a first trimester thing. For me, I was bloody knackered for 40 weeks!! Although it did ease off a bit at about 5 months.

Every pregnancy is different, and unfortunately you can't gauge yours by your friends, or even a previous pregnancy of yours.

That said, naps are the way to go if at all poss. Can you enlist an hour or twos help from a friend or your mum?

Good luck!

I so know how you feel...I`m 20 weeks and I have an 8 month old baby boy!!! When I was in my first trimester I just wanted to sleep every time he took a nap!!! (And did some days!!) But I found if I put him in the stroller and went for a short walk it helped out alot..Sometimes I would just sit on the porch with him playing..The fresh air did wonders..Good luck!!

Hopefully within the next few weeks. I know exactly how you feel. I am 12 weeks myself & have an almost 3 y/o to run around after. He does NOT take naps so I don't either. I have noticed I am still tired but not as much as I was a few weeks ago.

I found it lulled in the 2nd trimester but towards the end of the 3rd I was shattered again as just moving is to much effort and that was in a desk job so I can only imagine, as a mother to an energetic toddler, how bad it must be fore you!

I think sleeping when you can, getting early nights and eating well is about all you can do.

Good luck!

I started feeling really good about 4 months. But I was a first timer - and no more since. My toddler makes me tired and I'm not even pregnant. Keep napping. That's the best remedy.

Nap. i understand that's plenty much less complicated pronounced than achieved, besides the shown fact that it extremely is the only ingredient that enables. whilst i grow to be pregnant with my firsrt one, I used to return domicile from artwork on a daily basis of my 1st & third trimesters, and sleep for 2 hours in the previous getting as much as fix dinner. This time, i'm basically walking around drained each and all of the time because of the fact as quickly as I get domicile from artwork, I ought to chase around at the back of my son whilst i might fairly be sound asleep until eventually my husband gets domicile, then that's basically too on the factor of mattress time to take a snooze.
