Myspace (and the internet in general) is not an ideal place for making friends.
There are many drawbacks:
o Often the friends you make live far away from you
o Some of them will be in totally different time zones!
o There is a different nature to the interactions on the internet, many of which will be based purely around what sort of picture you put up as your identity
Why don't you get out and about and try to make friends in your more immediate environement.
Join clubs and take up activities:
Tennis, Tabletennis, Cycling, Hiking, Dancing, go to the Gym, get involved in something with a lot of other people about
Team sports are particularly good - soccer/football, lacrosse, hockey, netball, basketball
Find a church near you.

Myspace has always been like that. But yes, the reason is a picture. Get a picture and see what happens. Don't think that there is something wrong with you. Now days, people would rather see what you look like and if you're hot then they want to be your friend. Everyone needs a friend and there are just some shitty people on this earth. Another is there is mostly pervs on the internet so you got to be careful with that. Good luck though!

I went to your page and the lack of picture is more than likely not the issue. You have no information on your page at all.
I, personally, won't add anyone to my page that I think I could learn something from or have a decent conversation with. You have nothing on your page so there is no way that I would be able to tell either.
Fill it out and feel free to send me an add request once you are done at myspace.com/borgbug. I'll add you once I know something about you.

don't expect to go onto Myspace to make friends... go on there find people you already know... that will help a lot. Myspace isn't really designed for that type of thing but anyways... have fun

Don't your friends at school have a myspace? You can always make friends by joining clubs and interacting with other people. Then, try to add them. You don't neccesarily have to have a pic in order for people to add you; they jsut have to know you before adding you.

Actually they have myspace whore trains. Nice name for it huh? Anyway, you insert your user ID and all that stuff...pretty quick. Just google "myspace whore train" I have a myspace, too..I am addicted and I love it ;) But I use it to keep in touch with close friends and family. P.S. Tila Tequila will be anyone's friend.

You don't have any info about yourself or anything. No one will want to add you as a friend if they don't know anything about you. Why don't you fill out all the profile questions and stuff? You can also add pictures that represent who you are, even if they are not actually of you.
Take a look at my profile and maybe you will see what I mean:
