I mean, do you physically extend the antenna? I realize some phones don't even have one anymore...

I rarely use my cell phone, and it doesn't have an antennae. Years ago, I had another one, and I always raised the antennae. That made me feel very important for some strange reason...lol

All phones have antennas or they would not be able to recieve calls. You do not have to pull out your antenna it is mostly for design reasons that they have an external one or an internal and you don't need to extend it unless you are in an analog area and not to much even then.

Mine has an antenna. I only extend it when I'm in an area where it doesn't get much service. It usually gives me an extra service bar.

My last two phones had internal antennae, so there wasn't anything to extend.

Mine has that little nub that I guess is the antenna. (can't extend it) I don't think it works too well because my calls keep getting freaking dropped and if I shift just right when my phone is in my pocket, it nearly incapacitates me.

i attempted a booster antenna some months in the past. until now each and every thing it worked all right. Then it began to slip around interior the telephone and merely became greater of a difficulty. in my view, i think of they seem to be a waste of money!

Mine is built into the phone. But I'd use it if it was a manual antenna
