It depends on what kind of gold you want. Gold coins and bullion can be bought from a coin dealer. Gold jewelery from all kinds of store. Now for panning your own there is some here in New Hampshire in some of the rivers. There is gold in a lot of the southern states such as North Carolina and Georgia. There is also gold in the western states such as Colorado and California. People today still pan for gold in those states plus others. They may not get rich, but seem to have fun and have some wonderful stories to tell. Have fun finding or buying your gold.
