I hate that show with a passion.

Our society is so collectively stupid that when a show says arbitrarily that someone is a star, the masses believe it and treat em as such.

The tryouts are put on too. They plant those people and pawn it off as "reality".

Ryan Seacrest is the epitomy of your stereotypical Los Angeles snob; all fluf and no substance. You should have heard his crappy radio show that he used to do on the drive home. He's as deep as a puddle.

Simon Cowl needs his *** kicked. There's enough negativity in the world w/o some pompus prick going out of his way to be mean to people for the sake of ratings.

It's difficult to explain to the cheeseballs that watch this show, but you are mired in mediocrity. You are collectively dumb, shallow, lacking a mind of your own, and sheep. And you enjoy horribly average music.

Thank god the New Kids on the Block are gone cause you're the same idgits that would love them now.

I seriously can NOT stand the show. It's too hyped and not all that good. Plus, what "Idol" other than Kellie Clarkson has done anything? It seems that the ones that get kicked off early are the ones that are succeeding (Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson, etc).

I think it is just a superficial fad. Even if you can sing, if you don't have 'pop star' looks (skinny, beautiful, perfect) you are judged not by your talent, but your appearance. And the only person who actually did something with their win was Kelly Clarkson. All the others make one cd and then fade out.

I can't stand it. my mom watches it constantly.

It's just a contest to see who can conform to the idol ideal. Someone they can market in every genre.

I think music should be personal, not manufactored for the masses.

i hate american idol. american idol is for losers that have no life and are so insecure that they need to involve themselves in a "reality" show that isn't real reality, people can't understand that the judges are paid to say what they say.
