Not a chance!! Last year was a fluke. Since when does an 83-78 team consider itself champions???? What a joke!!!

I think that they're going to have a hard time repeating. If recent history holds true, they should not count on Rolen, Edmonds, and Isringhausen to stay healthy throughout the season.

I was also surprised by their lack of activity this offseason. They were less than impressive during the regular season, and only made the playoffs because they played in an awful division. I'd be surprised to see another NL Central team in the World Series this year.

It would be cool!! But prolly not going to happen. The Cardinals should have done better in the free agent signings. They need somebody else to step up so we dont always have to turn to Pujols.

GO CARDS!!!

Nope, I actually went to the future, stole a sports almanac and brought it back to the present (2007). The winner of the 2007 world series will be the Cubs vs. the Sharks. shh. don't tell anyone and I will give you half my winnings.

The competition in that division has improved a lot over the off season. Not likely they will repeat.

They won't go down without a fight either.

the cardinals consider themselves world champions with an 83-78 record after the YANKEES GOT the playoff BEAT out of them BY the TIGERS, THEN THEY proceeded to GET their stripes WHIPPED from them BY the CARDINALS, as it was meant to be.......:D

Not a chance in hell. they won all of 83 games last year and had a lucky playoff run. They did nothing to improve the team in the offseason, and actually got worse.

All they have is Pujols. Edmunds and Rolen are old, chronically injured, and gray.

Might not even finish .500...

Unless they found a way to bottle up success, I don't see how. And to think, my Sox scored 34 runs in three games, swept them with ease, but had to see them celebrate last year.

It would be nice, but I don't think it will happen two years in a row. Even during Spring Training, they haven't been playing like a World Series winning team . . . nothing spectacular . . . just mediocre.

I haven't completely given up hope just yet though!!!

Go Cards!

No, they lost too many pitchers, they haven't upgraded their offense enough, they're an old team that just got a year older, and their division will be more competitive this year.
