I mean you figure that you've been married for eternity etc. Why not relax the policy and explore other possibilities. Because 20+ yrs or even 10+ is a lot of time to spend together with one person. What do you think?

Relax the cheating policy? have you gone nuts? I have met like 3 woman thats marriages ended after 30+ years cause their husbands got the wondering eye.

The vows they take say, "forsaking all others til death due us part". There is no stipulation saying it's okay if you are together for 20 years and want some new body to have sex with. The reason why people get married and stay together for so long is because they are completely happy with the person they are with and wouldn't dare think of being with anyone else. Stay with your commitments. Obedience towards your spouse, is #1 priority. I got married 6 months ago. I feel I made the right decision to marry, because she is the #1 thing in my life. How did you feel at 6 months? Were you exploring then? I would not relax the adultery policy, because it is written on your heart!

As far as I know we all have a soul and we are going to die someday. We will stand before the Greatest Love ... we cannot even comprehend the love but if you have children or a pet and you love them multply it by 10 still that's not even close to how much our God loves us. Your gonna die someday & is this something you would want to discuss with Love (God) *Relax the cheating Policy* It's called adultrey and it is a mortal sin. There will be consequences my friend here and in the after life. Remember some people who have relaxed the cheating policy are HIV+ and the like. Take Care.

I once told my hubby that when IM NOT jealous of another woman THEN he can worry cuz it means I dont give a damn any more! I know its a long time! I met my hubby in 10th grade in highschool and we have been married 20 years now!!! We got married out of highschool! Sometimes I wonder what someone else would be like- I have nothing to compare! lol But I love him dearly- he is not only my husband but my best friend! It would destroy me if he ever cheated on me!

No you shouldn't. When you got married, you knew you would be with this person for the rest of your life.....or at least hoped you would. You knew this would be the only person you would be with then, why change that now just because you have been together for so long? If anything, you should have trust and love for your partner for being faithful and staying by your side all this time.

It depends on the relationship. I for one think that open door policies can keep relationships fresh.
However, STD's should be a big concern. Both you and your partner would have to be deligent. You don't want to bring something home and not know other.
Also, even though you may think you are ok with your partner sleeping with other people you might develop feelings of jealously that can destroy a relationship.
I do not know you or your partner so it is hard to give the best answer for this situation.

That is what my ex thought, except he had been exploring every since we got married. I was married for 37 years and put up with the bull **** of we are just friends. Remember the vows they were suppose to mean something . Forsaking all others and cling to each other. Till death do you part. Honey, I can tell you the grass is not greener. ASk my ex , he is finding out.
