I am just getting on my feet after years of depression from loosing my father and older sister in the last 18 months iv started playing alto saxophone with a view to help others watch my progress my website is www.freewebs.com/tom9437/ now i am trying to teach myself how to repair woodwind instrumentssax and Clarinet to start with iv got all my books but ineed an old saxophone or clarinet to get started iv tried everything else schools shops collages so please have a look or ask a friend for me please i could affoard ten or fifteen pound and i will collect thankyou tom.o

Hi there! Sorry to hear about the hard time you are having. But how wonderful you are using music to help you through it; music has amazing healing powers.

Are you just looking for instruments in need of repair? I agree that Ebay is a good source. I would try to find ones that are a good brand; some cheapy no-name saxes are impossible to repair due to terrible quality. Look for Yamahas or Selmers if you can.

Try eBay. They sometimes have old unwanted instruments for that kind of use.
