Front end collision, car pulling to left, auto body shop did not perform alignment b/c there was "no damage to wheel" took car to midas, had calipers replaced, now car still pulls to left. was the original auto body shop supposed to have done an alignment?

Always. Any front end damage can through off the alignment, hell hitting a pothole can do that.

Yes, absolutely. After a front-end collision, everything forward of the a-pillar is shifted to some degree. An alignment can correct some of the damage done, but it will never be the same again.

Yeah, if the car is pulling take it back to the shop. The frame or unibody may be twisted and will have to be put into an alignment machine and straightened. Don't accept it unless it drives straight.

It needs to be done as soon as possible to prevent tire wear. It's possible that all four wheels might need to be aligned if it's a front wheel drive or one that has rear independent suspension.

Yes, definitely get an alignment. if it still pulls to the left, make sure the steering control arms aren't bent or damaged.

anytime the car is wrecked in the front end there has to be an alignment.
