We're not occupying Ireland.
We gave them independence in 1922.
Ulster voted to remain part of the UK, don't you believe in democracy?
I do see the similarity between the Irish and the Palestinians though. Both have been occupied and oppressed yet as soon as they get their independece they start fighting each other.
