My brother's birthday is Dec 17 and my sister's is Dec 25. When they were little mom would throw a party on Dec 21, but as they got older my parents would not do as much. My sis gets jipped every year. My sons birthdays are in January so people don't want to do much for them either because it is just a few weeks after Christmas, but i insist on throwing parties for them. I would say throw a party in the beginning of the month (the first week maybe)

My birthday is a week before Christmas, I am in my 50's now. I did have parties with my closest friends, they were not the extravagant parties a lot of kids have because of the time frame. As I got older, my little sister always made my birthday special. Bless her heart!

I always received gifts that were 'my birthday & christmas present,' that wasn't even in a time with cell/pc/ipods/wii/etc., so if people were strapped for money then, think of it now.

I have come to enjoy my Dec. birthday, because it is a special time of the year, I like to think all of us Dec. babies are extra special!!

Some towns do celebrate 'Christmas in July,' why not have a themed birthday party like it in July! It would be so much fun to put together!

Have fun, use your imagination, God Bless

My bday is Dec 11th and I am 41. Not only did I get very few gifts I never had a birthday party. My mom however has no memory of this, soooooo My suggestion is to have a "birthday in july party". Tell everyone you will not be celebrating your bday in december this year. This way it gives everyone lots of notice, and gives you a chance to experience what all the others get.

my daughter's birthday is in Dec and I kill myself every year on her party so she will not miss out, then in two weeks I'm wiped out for Christmas.

I'd like to move her birthday to August!
