OK, so first of all the universe is expanding...BUT it is NOT slowing down. Rather, it is speeding up!
The end result will be a degradation of matter entirely, ultimately leaving nothing. Galaxies will drift apart, they will then break up, solar systems will break up, and eventually matter itself will "decompose". Although energy is technically conserved, it will be spread out over such a vast area that it will virtually have a density of zero.
I agree, though. There is definitely a possibility of other universes (or "multiverses", as it were) that exist in either the past, present or future. These are important things to ponder. Most people are happy sitting around watching fat kids dance to Korean techno on YouTube. But there's a lot of stuff to ponder about.

A black hole is like the universe's vacuum cleaner: A star explodes or implodes and creates a type of crater in the atmosphere, piercing the veil of the universe and bringing everything around it into a funnel like aperture, which then shows up in a parallel universe. In other words there are universes backed up to this one. 44 to be exact.which is possibly the reason why we discover new stars or planets.

I picture the Universe as being Everything, so i dont believe there are really more than one but everything as a whole with mini type "places" where you can warp and all that good science stuff. Hopefully soon someone might find out some of this stuff.

it is all somewhat deep isnt it? wont the universe start to settlement whilst there is sufficient remember yet on the 2d there isnt so as this is why the universe is increasing? dont understand relating to the limitless volume of universes concept - havent heard it until now yet then im no longer rather smart sufficient to thoroughly understand something regarding physics, so there is in all possibility plenty that i havent heard of because of the fact they have at a loss for words me!

There's only ONE UNIverse. UNI means ONE. There may be more than one SOLAR SYSTEM inside the UNIverse.

If they find evidence of more than one universe they'll have to change the name "universe."
