ONly if they are hot enough and you stay hot enough and you remain in the water long enough to significantly raise your internal body temp... then yes- it could harm the baby. That's why they say don't go in hot tubs when pregnant- because the water doesnt cool off and hot tubs are usually kept around 104 degrees- which after sitting in for some time will raise your inside body temperature.
Bath water- even if you fill it at this temperature- will not stay at that teperature for long enough to do this. Once you fill the tub- and turn the water off- the water inside already starts to cool off...
If you are that paranoid about it- make sure you keep bath water to around your normal body temperature (98.7 degrees) and if the water is any warmer- don't stay in for longer than 10 minutes.

No a hot bath won't hurt the baby...just get help getting out if you need it as you will be getting bigger towards the end of the pregnancy. You can have a hot bath...just don't go into a "hot tub"...there is a difference. The bathtub water doesn't or shouldn't get as hot as a hot tub. I was once concerned about this as well and my doctor cleared that up for me. Congrats & good luck.

It won't hurt the baby, but YOU have to be careful so that you don't overheat yourself. If you have a major rise in body temperature, it could probably harm your baby b/c your own fluids inside would heat up and possibly cause brain damage. It's not very good for any person to be submerged in really hot water for long periods of time, but if you're only spending less than an hour in the tub, I don't think it would do much damage. Just be careful and know your limits. If you're that concerned, contact your ob/gyn and see what they recommend.

You should avoid having HOT baths because it's bad for you to get very hot, especially in your first trimester. But there is no reason why you can't have a warm bath. Just don't over do it with the hot water.

Just don't immerse your whole body up to your neck and make sure the temperature isn't too hot. Sitting in water that is too hot (115 degrees - as hot as a hot tub) can cause neural tube defects. To be safe, I'd keep the baths short for a while and take hot showers if you need to relax.

Hot tubs are really really bad because they bring up your inner core body temp which is really bad for a fetus. However a hot bath where you keep part of your body out of the water and make sure you don't over heat is alright.

Im 33 weeks and I've been taking hot baths the whole time, I heard not to take hot baths, just warm ones....but to me they are warm, but I know a lot of people would consider them hot, I guess it depends on your tolerence.

Hot baths can not hurt the baby. Just make sure it's not too hot as it can make your body temp and the babys go up.

It is advised not to take really hot baths, particularily in 1st trimester as you are un able to control body temprature when submerged, this makes the growing foetus exposed to fever like tempratures, thus possibly causing defects and even miscarriage.
