The war in Iraq is a big example ...... do you believe the President outright lied about the legitimacy of this war ? Or were the intelligence sources honestly mistaken ?

Also, do you believe politicians lie purposely to get elected ...or ..... is it just that getting things done in politics is a lot harder than expected or .... if promised something from a politician ..... is the effort good enough ??

It's all a spin game. Of course they lie. It doesn't matter what side you're on, they all lie. For one, they have to protect national security, and so cannot divulge the sort of information that we want to know.

Guess what sister, the ENTIRE Clinton administration was one big lie. So is the present congress, and most of what is going on in the newspapers. Fish swim, birds fly and politicians lie. It's what they do. Honest people dont tell the shallow public the pretty things they want to hear, so the honest do not get elected.

Yes, they outright lie ... because they can. Also to escape public scrutiny and legal accountability. That's why the spin doctors cultivate the press and that's why they don't want Rove and Meiers to testify under oath. So they can lie.
