I know the total amount of energy in the universe is constant, but why isn't the total amount of force constant. I know those with superior intellects will probably not understand this question, but my mind can not understand for the life of me the concept of force.
For one thing how can a stationary object exert a force?
Also:
if for every action there is an equal an opposite reaction, does this mean net force in the universe is always zero?
Thanks a lot to the altruistic physics minds that help a lesser mortal such as myself.
