I have a lot of different files on a computer that someone else in our house owns (Windows Home Edition) . She doesn't want me to overload her system (I believe that is highly unlikely), so therefore she wants me in time to have my own computer/laptop to put all my files on. I have all media files, documents/pictures/music/ and internet file with my websites on.
How do I transfer ALL of these files safely and efficiently onto another comp, with all the information intact? And if a file has a password, does that make any difference?
If you have expertise in hardware and software, I would very much like your feedback.
And if you just have some good idea that would be helpful as well - please answer succinctly and cleary so I can understand, thanks...

Dead easy, simply buy a flash drive plug into your USB port and drag and drop your files on to it. Remove the flash drive plug into new computer and drag them on to the new one. If you are not familiar with flash drives, when you have plugged it in go to my computer and you will find it there. If there is too much to fit on it then take some at a time until complete. Hope this helps.

Think carefully before you agree to do this favour...by keeping her PC clear of disk space she could clutter up your disk space and put you in some difficulty. You need to install a zip drive on your PC and make a copy of all her files.
