Many moons ago I worked in a restaurant. From my personal experience, about 85% of the teenagers I worked with lacked any kind of work ethic. But there were a few that went above and beyond. So I guess it would be pretty easy to say "all teenagers have no work ethic." I don't believe that, but unfortunately there are probably many who do. It is unfair to generalize, but it happens. I also think that a lack of work ethic is more of a reflection on parenting skills than on the teenager.

one fact is teenagers have little or no experience in the real world - only the perfect world of academics. Have you ever heard the expression "those that can't do ... teach"?

No experience is related to no brain isn't it?

There is another expression " you can't sing the blues if you aint paid your dues" meaning you might think you are part of the real world but until you get a job and get some experience you will not understand what it is like actually be able to do a job versus thinking you can because you just got out of school with a diploma saying you can do a job.

Don't sweat it. Every generation has thought that about the following generation.

This is not a new phenomenon.

What you have to remember that good judgement comes with experience and a work-ethic is learned. Teenagers are inside the learning curve and are still figuring things out.

To quote The Who, "The kids are all right."

Because so many of us adults were once teenagers with no brains or work ethic. Don't worry, at least some of you will grow out of it.

Not everyone does that, ppl shouldn't anyways, i have teens and
their good kids i see a lot of good smart and hard working teens
don't let them type of ppl bother you .and also remember not
all adults feel that way! i still remember when i was a teen.
and sometimes the adults then could be very judge mental !!.

the small fraction of us who get drunk, are in car accidents, cut, do drugs, has sex, etc hav caused the snap-judgemental adults to make generalizations, which is very unfair to all of us who r responsible and smart
