The example I'm giving is above, I understand folks who don't trust clicking anything on the internet but I'll explain what it is and what I want incase you don't want to click.

This is an mp3/podcast from WMMR's Preston & Steve Show that I want to burn onto a cd. It's saved in a mp3 format but I can't figure a way to save it onto my hard drive so I can burn it onto a cd later.

If you can't figure out a simpler way, I'll tell you what I do for recording audio from videos playing.
Well, I won't tell you in-depth, but I'll give you links.
Basically, first you set the computer to record things that are playing on your computer.

Then you use windows recorder to record it.

go to start-->all_programs-->accessories-->entertainment-->sound_recorder

Then you combine the parts into one thing.

Right click on the link to the MP3 and then select
"save target as" You can specify the location to save and then do anything you want with it.

If it is not protected, right click the link and then select "Save Target As". This should pull the file to your PC and not auto-play it. This also works for movie files.
