I believe History should start in the 50's. That's far enough back. Of course there are reference books if anyone wanted to study farther back. But I think we've made so many strides since the 50's that we should focus on these more recent years.

So we know the good and bad things that people before us did. There is a saying that goes 'history repeats itself', so hopefully, we'll try to repeat the good--and not the bad.

because the past has a way of repeating itself and people can learn from what happened in the past and instill it to everyday life, politics...whatever.
