Astrology. Some believe in it, some don't. Fair enough. There will be other things people will and will not believe in.

But why is half the world set on disproving Astrology? I'm all for freedom of speech; but freedom of speech includes that you have the liberty of also listening and taking in account what is being said.

Now people who are bent on disproving don't do that. They don't hear what someone pro-Astrology says and examining whether it's true or not... Nooooo they just counteract with another argument!

First off; astrology is NOT entirely based on solely the 12 signs of the zodiac, astrology does not come from the idea that there are only 12 types of personality in the world. So WHY do anti-Astrology people ALWAYS use that argument?

Will they ever fecking learn that what Machiavelli has said (know your enemy) DOES hold a lot of truth? Or are they just afraid that what they might find is less ludacrice than they first thought?

Freedom of speech works both ways.

Sure, people are allowed to believe in anything they want, and there are people that believe all sorts of silly things. You say that people who disprove astrology don't listen to your side, and don't want to understand astrology. Well, the same can be said about believers in astrology. Have you ever read any of the science that proves that astrology isnt real, and made up your own mind? I bet you haven't, because you want to believe in it, and you don't want to learn any fact that may contradict your beliefs.

Scientific research has shown that astrology holds no truth. If you were willing to read the reaserch yourself, you would know this.

If anyone wants to read what real scientists think about astrology, then follow the link below, it leads to an article by a well established astronomer, an actual scientist who knows what he is talking about. He states the scientific reasons why astrology can't be real. If you. the asker, or any of the people defending you has any intellectual honesty, you will read through the information with an open mind, and take it into account, instead of adhering to your blind faith in astrology.

What the heck has freedom of speech have to do with anything in your question? Nobody is stopping you believing in that old cobblers if you want. If you want to think that an object or objects billions of miles away (and made up of stars so far apart that they have a negligible even on each other) can effect the way you behave, win or not win the lottery, meet a tall dark stranger or a short fat one, then please, be my guest! You are free to believe it, and I am free to say it's a load of old, and I mean old, rubbish!

My belief or lack of belief in anything, including astrology, is completely unaffected by what others believe nor am I influenced by ridicule about my beliefs or lack of beliefs. I would be influenced by people who have some rational counterargument, perspective, or insight.

I believe that everyone has the right to their opinion and the right to state it. I do not believe, however, that anyone has the right to shove their opinion down anyone else's throat. If a compromise can't be attained, they need to agree to disagree and drop the subject.

people are afraid of what they don't understand and it's easier for them to fob it off and say it dosen't exist than to try to actually understand it.
