We are social creatures and need companionship and social contact with others of our kind in order to be healthy. We need to interact with others to stimulate our senses and to remain happy. That is one reason why solitary confinement is often used as a punishment.

Maybe because its where we live. I mean everyone wants to live in a community that is relatively crime free, has decent jobs n schools, n the homes r affordable. We all enjoy the comfort of going home after a long days work n know they dont have to worry about any of the nonsense of the world. I mean communities for the most part r our safe havens

Humans have the need to be a part of something. We are social creatures. Some people cannot stand to be alone. Others should spend some time by themselves to learn about themselves. In some instances it is important to be a part of something as long as it is positive. Sometimes, distinguishing yourself from the status quo is a good thing.
