Use papaya soap. Good stuff. Just use it everyday and You'll see the results. Your skin will look clearer and lighter. I always use it in the summer cz i always get soooo dark!! Buy some online. << Hope this helps cz it did for me!!

There's this stuff I get from the drug store or where ever you think you could get it. I have really light skin so I use the bronzer but I'm sure there's some other color to make it lighter. I hope I was a help! Good luck.

There is a cream called: "Esoterica". You can get it from just about any major Drug Store like Walgreens, CVS, Eckerd, etc. You may be able to find it at Wal-Mart now as well.
Anywho, they have a day and night cream. Use it two to three times a day. It gradually lightens the skin, and clears blemishes as well.

I really hope you're asking this because you want to get rid of dark blemishes, acne scars, or something equally yucky; not because you're so "color-struck" that you'd be willing to buy products to alter your appearance.
If you're looking to fix problem areas, using a microdermabrasion treatment once a week will help. So will the daily application of a retinol product on your problem areas.
