i think its because we are black as well as women. this country has been trying to ruin the black woman for centuries, to no avail, and we are still here. even thru dividing our families thru slavery, raping and exploiting the black woman, demeaning our men, racism, our unique beauty and features are mocked, scorned. we have had to be strong, and people generally dont like strong women, especially if they are black. no
not to say every black woman is a beacon of strength,as u can see alot of black women seem to be insecure just because of those things but in general to deflect all the s$# this society throws at us, u have to have a backbone. i encourage all the sisters to do their thing.

Black women don't have bad attitudes - there is just a lot of things a black female WILL not put up with! That's not an attitude - that's strength baby. I know there are certain things I will not tolerate - that others take as me having a bad attitude.

It's very difficult for some people to understand others unless they can stereotype them. It's sad, but it's true!
Maybe your associate's experience with black women has been bad, so she just made an easy generalization based on her negative experiences.

I personally don't see black women as having bad attitudes however I do see them as having strong personalities...I see that as a good thing. I rather be viewed as a strong opinionated women rather than a weak and mild mannered female. I also think this way of most of our latino women...I think it's just in our blood to have attitude and I love it!

I don't know. I get irritated by that attitude as well. Like all white women are polite and sweet. I have had people tell me to my face that I am nice "for a Black woman." They honestly don't understand why I'm offended. Chalk it up to ignorance. Try not to let it bother you.

One that woman has balls and is freaking stupid. So I understand why she made a stupid generalization cause she is stupid.
I think a lot of people get dumb generalizations from their parents and dumb TV(Jerry Springer, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, Martin, etc.) for what ever reason stupid is cool and that mixed with our parent's generation left over raseism ideas is really holding people back from learning not to make sweeping generalizations.

not all black women human beings have that "stereotype" strategies-set. it is like asserting all black men are no reliable thugs who in no way take care of their little ones and that black women human beings bypass out of their race because of fact of it. Oh, the "Mandigo" stereotype like various black men might desire to have a huge penises. So not real. not honest isn't it? lol..don't have faith the hype. have faith me...White, Hispanic, Asian, eastern, close by American, Indian women human beings could have a foul strategies-set merely as much as a pair black women human beings do. you could not generalize human beings like that. you have plenty to learn approximately existence.

Because they're ignorant. Though I half agree with that statement. I've had many black and white friends and there are differences in their attitudes. Like for example I go into a store and I don't get looks from white women, I get them from black women.
But I'm fine with that, Jealousy is a horrible thing isn't it?
Anyway. Ignorance is bliss.

because people have lack of intelligence.Don't people say all blond women are stupid? or whoever lives in America and have an ascent speak Spanish, like there is no other language in the globe? That all Japanese men have a small penis? it is easy to generalize than look to people for what they are.Pure stupidity.

I think you're reading way too much into what was probably meant as a compliment.
She didn't generalize you, personally, so it would be best to accept the compliment with grace rather than reaffirming yet another stereotype by making a congressional issue of your inferrence.
