I have to write a poem based on the general idea behind the poems 'The missing' and 'Sardines' both by Stephen Knight. I'm not asking for the whole poem (obviously) but can anybody give me some ideas of words I could use or send me some poems that I could look at and help me to develop my ideas and come up with a decent plan/draft?

Thanks!
Lorna

Here is a thought.
Holding on to the bitterness of childhood only destroys dreams In adulthood.
Do not loose yourself in your bad childhood, do not let what other people say or do destroy your dreams, be who you want to be. Be an oak tree, so plant your acorn now.
