the bleeding is real heavy and i'm passing half dollar sized blood clot and cramping really bad that is also making me sick to my stomach.

I think you should phone your Dr as soon as possible, that doesn't sound right at all.

I had a c-section and I bleed for about 7 weeks off and on again. I never passed any huge blood clots though. I would call the doctor just to be on the safe side.

If you weren't sick and passing clots, then I'd say you're just getting your first period. I got mine at 5-6 weeks after both my kids and the initial bleedin stopped at 4 weeks.

However, this sounds abnormal. I say call the doctor and don't forget to mention (in graphic detail, if necessary) the size of your clot. BE SPECIFIC, otherwise your ob-gyn will probably think you're just getting your period and tell you to get over yourself.

talk to your OB, if you are passing clots that can be a bad sign. Get to the doc asap.

I would guess you started menstruating again. It is very normal for your periods to be really heavy for a few months after the baby is born.
