No.

There are two ways to avoid pregnancy: abstinence, and the conscientious and consistent use of reliable birth control. (And only the former is 100 percent effective, everything else has *some* statistical failure rate, even tubal ligation and vasectomy.)

You can't prevent pregnancy by using a pool after sex. You can't prevent pregnancy by going to the bathroom after sex (another question recently on Y!A). You can't prevent pregnancy by douching after sex.

Even if exposure to chlorine somehow, magically, prevented sperm from reaching/fertilizing the egg -- which, to be clear, *it does not* -- the strong swimmers would be well on their way long before you hit the water...it's not like they sit around *outside* the vagina waiting to be hit with something that'll kill them.

Please, if you're sexually active, educate yourself about your own body and basic biology. By that, incidentally, I don't mean you should ask your friends -- clearly, they're hardly the experts on conception and contraception.

abstinence.then you definately should not be demanding about being pregnant. if no self administration, lady receives on the pill, guy use a condom and it lowers your possibilities of undesirable pregnancies.. an how about gettin a spouse/husband so none of this concerns or keepin it on your pants until eventually then? why do i say all of this? bcuz i'm so drained of adult men walkin out on their girlfriends at the same time as they get pregnant and im drained of attending to pay my tax funds for undesirable little ones until eventually their 18. so imagine 1st, cuz no count number what you take advantage of, in 9 months, there may nicely be a infant. an in case you dont want that, then both use diverse protection or lock it up.

The only way to 100% avoid getting pregnant is to abstain from sex. And if you really don't know anything about birth control, you aren't mature enough to have sex anyway.

No, this is not true...if the sperm enters your reproductive tract, then you have a chance to become pregnant. Just because you enter a pool, doesn't mean it will kill off all the sperm. By the time you enter the pool the sperm is already inside your uterus on it's way to your fallopian tubes.

no it is NOT true. if u have *** inside u, getting in any kind od water wont keep the sperm from swimming. im not sure about if u put a water hose up there after sex though lol. that may flush it out if ur quick enough, but that could just cause it to be kinda a deformed sperm if its not flushed out quick enough. i have no clue LOL

No. Why would it be true? If the answer were so simple, women wouldn't need pills or condoms. I think sex ed. needs to be revised in schools...

no, in fact, if you get in a pool, the water will help push the sperm up, towards the egg.

tell your friend to try it and see....then don't offer to help babysit. That's the silliest thing I ever heard.
