I'm into that Gone With the Wind era. I also like Jane Austin and Agitha Cristie books. Any suggestions???

so 1860's huh. Well that's considered the civil war era as far as books are concerned for people of that era I'm not to sure. Red Badge of Courage.

Also try some of the Bronte Sisters. They wrote books and my cousin loved them at your age.

As far as mysteries are concerned I would try Father Cadfael mysteries and also the "The Cat Who" mysteries.

I liked mysteries and fantasies as your age.

Try We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson - amazing book by the author of The Lottery. You will love the character of Merricat. Pax - C.

Maybe you would like biographies.
My favorites at 13 were biographies of British royalty, especially Elizabeth I.

Jane Austin- definitely have to read 'Pride and Prejudice', and also 'Emma' (all are good, though)
Louisa May Alcott is good too, though-try 'Little Women'

Try one called "The day of the Joker" by the same autor that wrote Sophia´s world.
