If people call me names which has got something to with my skin colour then yes that's racism. But i do not consider doubting that someone is that race without knowing their race as racism and then possibly saying what he or she could be. That's not racism, to me at least.

Jokes about people wanting to play hide and seek with me in the snow can be seen as racism but it isn't that case all the time.

Thank you, first answerer. Thank you. I did NOT put the Rico guy down, i only thought he was Mexican because he gave us clues instead of Puerto Rican.. So is that racism? I AM NOT PUTTING DOWN A RACE BY THINKING OR SAYING THAT MY RACE IS MORE SUPERIOR..

I put racism right up there with prejudice and discrimination.
I like to break it down like this:

bias- thinking/thoughts
prejudice- feeling/ attitude
discrimination- doing/actions

being a racist means that you are going to/ you do discriminate, you feel a certain way about a person and that is why you do it.

How did he give you clues that he was Mexican? the easiest way to get around the are you Mexican, Latino, Puerto Rican, is to say of Latin or Hispanic descent.

To me it's when you can start an African-American club at school but if you consider making a Caucasian club your a horrible human being who is a member of the KKK and hates the world and should be kicked out of school. I know that's considered reverse racism or something of that nature but it is something that's annoying.

Racism is the intentional putting down/assuming that one is inferior because they are of a different race than you.

You seem like an intelligent girl. There has to be a better question to ask.

Questions like this only anger people and bring out the bad.

Noting a difference is not racism. Acting as if the difference makes me or you better...that's racism.

racism is when people think they are better than you or deserve a better education/job/anything because of their "superior" race... yes, racist people are really ignorant, unthoughtful and mean.
