I have other ideas, but I don't think I have enough time or space to continue. It's time for America to relive the "Can do" attitude, to (paraphrasing JFK, here) ask not what our country can do for us; but, to ask what we can do for our country, and (pulling from Theodore Roosevelt, now) to give those who do what they can a square deal. America needs to take pride in itself, again. And, a candidate who can show us a plan that actually does for us, what we need done will get my vote. Regardless of their party affiliation.

A 3rd party candidate who can win, or a race where one of the major party candidates is not substantially better than the other. Or a voting system that allows you to choose multiple candidates rather than the current winner take all.

If the Democrats do not put up an anti-war candidate, I'll either sit out the next election or vote for a third party.

I'll vote for Ms. Clinton provided she is willing to admit she made a mistake in voting for the first Iraq resolution. To err is human, to fail to admit one's mistakes is unforgiveable.

A change in the electoral college system, as implemented by the states, so that it is not all-or-nothing per state.

If the states allocated proportional electoral votes based on the percentage each candidate got, then a 3rd party candidate would stand a chance of being elected.

I am amazed that so many people fret about the President, the only term limited office in our government, yet no one will say anything about the corrupt career politicians in congress.

Term Limits Now.

then you might get some third party people in. If the Pres is a screw up congress can tie his hands over money but the congress can bankrupt us while lining their pockets and those of their supporters, oh yes all the while stealing from us.

I could vote for someone like Newt or Joe Lieberman. They have shown the guts to stand for their beliefs against party leaders and side with the American people instead of those who are attacking our values.
