is it customary too send a thank you card? I'm not familiar with the social graces

I just call them and thank them

im not familiar with the situation
but i think it would be nice to call the person and say thank you rather than to just send them a card back
maybe send them a little token of thanks like chocolate or something?

No.. Just send me the flowers and im okay, or just the card.. Don't care actually..

In that case a phone call is more appropriate for thanking someone. However written thanks is fine as well.
Note: If a girl receives flowers from a man that she is wary of for ANY reason, and has made it clear to him already that she is not interested in him - and he sends flowers anyway - still pursuing her - in that case (and only in that case) is no thanks necessary.

The delivery guy should not be sent a card. How tacky is that?

It could be done, to let the sender know that the thought and gesture was appreciated! See, over on my end, haven't gotten flowers from the Mr. in a while, sooooo, no thank you's for him, if you know what i mean...*wink* and then a *sigh*

flowers are enough, card with it is even better. ;)
we LOVE them.
this mean u really really appreciatte us or what we did to take the time to go out and get flowers for us!!!
