Bottom line to win a league is closers, closers closers!Your two are Jones and Izzy. Not good enough to win a league !

Your hitters are solid, but I think Figgins is overrated and will not get you much beyond SB's. Once you get past Carpenter in SP's, you could be good, or not. Kazmir has struggled and has a lot of innings on a young arm and Hamels has also had arm problems in the past. If those 2 are healthy, you will still need another SP or two that are solid. lilly could be...but can't count on it pitching in Wrigley. If Crede and Rios continue to improve, you should be solid. You have some decent backup OF's too. Your RP's are questionbable. Jones could lose his job to Zumaya and Isringhausen could go down. You might want to cut Soriano and pick up another closer if a decent one is available, or a guy who would close if Izzy goes down - Wainwright. Overall, not bad, but you won't win it all unless everything goes perfectly for you.

you have issues now with Figgins out 6 weeks and Furcal banged up. You chose Howard WAY too high. He is not a top 5 pick. He had 77 walks in the second half last year. They are not going to pitch to him like they did in the first half. He has Wes Helms and Pat Burrell behind him. I would try to get a deal in place for Howard while his value is high. Maybe for Reyes who will get you steals while Figgins is hurt. Then use Figgins in a deal to plug holes when he comes back.

Its a good team, but I wouldnt have drafted Cole Hamels and Todd Jones so high. I think those were a couple of wasted picks. Overall though a good team that should do well.

looks like you're missing closer's not sure why you drafted soriano and donenally considering they won't be closing games out for their respected teams. Besides Chris Carpenter your starting rotation looks quite suspect, I'd trade some of those bats you have to get a solid closer and maybe another starter.

i wouldnt have used my first pick on a guy that had one good season. i def would have chose a proven player furcal is a great pick for a 6th rounder. dye is old and wont have another monster season. lee and carpenter are great picks. i would say you will end up around 5th or 6th in your league

Pretty good draft. Thome in the 14th round was your best pick.
