A memory stick ( the ones that connect to your camera, psp, etc. are too slow to be used as extra memory).

However, if you have a memory key (for example: http://www.tau.ac.il/lifesci/computer/assests/lg_dok.jpg ) AND you have windows Vista installed, you can use "ReadyBoost" to add more virtual RAM.

In my opinion ReadyBoost works and doesnt work at the same time. When i use High Intense programs (games, 3d software) it is faster. But when i do regular word documents, its normal speed.

As Ali mentioned, if you have Vista you could use the "ReadyBoost" function to do this. It would not work as fast as ram, but it would be faster than using the hard drive for virtual memory which is what is usually used for virtual memory.

Ali, the reason it doesn't work on word documents is because it is only utilized when the amount of data to be processed exceeds the amount of physical memory you have installed on the computer. Word documents rarely do that.

i don't think of so. you would be waiting to apply it as digital memory which, as I comprehend it, works comparable to RAM. i understand you could replace the size of the paging report homestead windows makes use of on your hard stress, yet i'm unsure approximately an SD card. in case you opt to offer it a shot, right here is how. bypass to "administration Panel" then open up the "gadget" icon. click on the "stepped forward" heading, then click on "Settings" under the overall performance heading. click the "stepped forward" tab interior the window that comes up, then click "replace" under the digital memory heading. in the journey that your SD card shows up as a detachable disk, then you certainly might desire to be waiting to commit the full element as a paging report. desire it extremely works out for you!
