honestly, they try to say "kobe-haters" but damn. i'm not a kobe hater, just don't like cheaters, liars, racist, rapist, selfish, arrogant, idiots who would rather score a lot of points than win championships (thanks kobe for ruining a dynasty and getting shaq the boot). kobe will never win another championship and that's what he gets for being so selfish. also, who would like a little snitch like him who tells on everyone else to get out of trouble (shaq's hush money)? He just seems like a little bi*ch to me. Maybe the people defending him aren't very well liked either so they identify with the loser. Even the people who didn't like jordan (i.e. NY residents) still respected him for who he was. Kobe has NO respect except from wannabes who have fragile egos like he does. I agree, kobe is a punk who only picks on smaller guys. I hope he hits rasheed wallace or ron artest and gets his a$$ beat.
Anyone remember when he elbowed mike miller in the neck? he just did that to look tough b/c he knew miller wouldn't react and he knew miller accidentally hit him. You know I am a Kobe fan and I'm not pissed off. I believe his game speaks for himself. The reason that many fans get butt-hurt however is that Kobe is there favorite player. I know alot of people that get pissed when I call shaq a fat, old, player that ranks with the best as being the dirtiest player in history. They also get made when I say that Shaq is by no means the most dominate player in the NBA now, or in history. Those people get pissed because they like Shaq. I dont need to defend Kobe to someone who cannot see a great basketball ball player.
One more thing, Lebron James, Dirk Nowitszi, Ray Allen, Dwanye Wade, Tim Duncan, Carmelo Anothony are just a few of the All Stars player who have openly admitted that Kobe Bryant is the best player right now in the NBA. I guess they are all just Kobe-lovers to. Or maybe they know a little bit more about his game than us as fans do.

kobe has been my favorite player since he was drafted by the hornets. it really doesn't bother me when people talk sh*t about him because "kobe sucks" "hes a rapist" are completly false and make me laugh. kobe doesn't suck and any retard with half a brain can see that. and guess what he was never convicted of anything and therefore under US law he is innocent. also listen to any interview about kobe with an nba player or coach and they will tell you he is the best player and hardest to stop in the nba. in general you either like kobe lebron melo wade, dirk, nash or gilbert. championships: kobe: 3 rest: 1 and yes shaq was on the team but you can never take the rings away from kobe. (and wade also had shaq) the only time that i get "butt-hurt" when people talk about kobe is when they try to say he sucks and the only reason i get pissed is because i really hate stupid people.

People worship Kobe because he's a very good basketball player. I hate to say it because I think he's a pretty pathetic person, and the NBA and its refs inflate his skill by sending him to the free throw line anytime he's touched (and often even when he's not).
Regardless, he's a very good basketball player. People identify that because they want to be rich, famous, and revered just like Kobe. Kobe becomes "their guy", so when somebody points out one of Kobe's many flaws they take it personally, or "get so butt-hurt", as you put it.

I agree. Think about the fact that he smacked Manu Ginobili and Marko Jaric for blocking him... pretty stupid, right? Now think about him getting clotheslined by Raja Bell and just walking away. How about getting HACKED by Samuel Dalembert and then running up the court.
HE STARTS FIGHTS WITH SMALLER GUYS!!! When the situation is worthy of retaliation and the guy is bigger/stronger than him, he ignores it. Pretty suspicious behavior, huh?

Maybe they like his style of play, but as a person I don't know how anyone could like him (insert story about how parents don't even like him because he's a jerk to them).
