I have a 1990 Suzuki Katana 600. I need to access the battery but cant get the seat off. Does anyone know how to remove the seat.

usually, the manual would tell u how to take the seat off. on some bikes, the seat is held by a screw just behind the seat. on other bikes, u push down and push the seat forward at the same time, and the seat pops up to remove.

*edit* forgot about the seat lock...guardrail jogged my memory about that. my yamaha had 1. my sportster is held down with a screw

There should be a seat lock (key) on the left side between the F&R seats.

I don't mean to be a wiseass, but have you checked the owner's manual? It should tell you how to remove the seat in the manual.
