You must have over charged the battery. If you leave the computer plugged in all the time and never turn it off, unplug it, that can damage the battery. Your going to have to replace your battery, sorry.
To prevent this from happening again. Sometime let the laptop run off battery power and not be plugged in. When you go to bed at night, tune the computer off and unplug it.

Since the Notebook or the battery charges when the power cord is connected and held in a different angle it clearly shows that the problem is with the Loos e Power connector at the laptop end.
The first answer you would get from the Service center is to replace the Motherboard as the Power connector will be connected to the Motherboard and cannot be replaced.
However, there are certain repair centers who will help you in replacing the power connector on the Mother Board by desoldering the existing one and replacing it with the new one.
The problem would be in procuring the power connector in order to get it replaced.
All the best for the Power connector.

How old is the laptop? Sounds like the battery has lost its ability to hold a charge. If the battery is still under warranty, contact the vendor support for a replacement. The battery warranty is not the same as the laptop warranty.

Depending on how long you have had the laptop, the battery can last about a year before you notice a degradation in performance (shorter battery life, not holding charge, etc.)
It is also possible that your charger adapter isn't working correctly.

Where the hole is to plug in the charger, you can bend the pin in the center really carefully and just a little and this may do it for you. If not you might have to get a new socket and possibly a new battery.

Yep. The battery has died. Shop around the Internet for a replacement you can get them a lot cheaper than the original manufactures. The prices here are incredibly low by comparison.

The battery might be bad, it won't hold charge any longer, also check the connection on the adapter, it seems that the adapter is damaged also.
