My favorite animal is the Nile Crocodile. It has been worshipped for centuries by Egyptians. No animal can mess with it other than the hippo, but the Nile Crocodile is smarter than most other reptiles and has learned to co exist with hippos. Also they take care of their young which is a trait that makes them much more intelligent and a better parent than any other reptile not in the crocodile family. By far the most dangerous predatory animal in Africa, more than the lion, hyena, and leopard. Love watching specials that show the Nile Crocodile hunt down wildabeast and zebra as they cross the river.

My favorite animals are beetles. Out of all the known animals on the planet, the beetles alone are far more species rich than any other. They are perfect models of evolution and adaptation, and I find them to be quite fascinating!

My favorite of all the beetles is the Eyed Elater or eastern click beetle (Alaus Oculatus):

I also really like the Flat red bark beetle (Cucujus clavipes):

The Malayan Tapir, mainly because it is nocturnal, solitary, cool looking, and endangered. They look like a cross between a pig and an anteater, but they're actually related to the rhino.

I have two!
First: Lions, i LOVE lions. i loved them from when i was 2. i always knew i wanted to work with the kings of the jungle. Lions is what took me into the course of Zoology and conservation. i have achieved my dream with working with them. i now work in a private company in Kenya, Africa, and you guessed it with lions.
Second: Saltwater crocodiles. i was always had great respect of the worlds largest reptiles. they are wonderful animals and it is a sham that they are being poached the way they are. i like saltwater crocs because they are the biggest kind of crocs. they are huge. i have seen one that is about 17 feet long! and i can't even describe their power. you would cry in terror if you saw one in front of you, that's why we should respect and conserve the magnificent creatures.
