over all in the books bertha jorkins died but she was not a main or highly influencial character. also albus dumbledore, sirius black, barty crouch senior, cedric diggory, voldemort's parents in book 6 when dumbledore and harry look back in time at voldemort's past. harry's parents (lily and james potter) died.those are the only main characters that have died in the books not including the gohsts or the little characters.

I really recommend you read them but I understand that time is an issue. Try getting the tape or CD version to listen to in your car on the way to work or out doing errands. you can even listen while you are doing things around the house. Anyhow so far in the books these chars have died.
1) harry's parents (before the book even really begins)
2) Cedric Diggory
3) Prof. Dumbledore
4) Sirus Black
There are probably more but those were the characters who were important to the story.

Get the books on CD...It's not worth ruining all the work and effort it takes to read and appreciate such a great series by having someone spoil some of the most important plot points!! Google search if you want to ruin it.

If you're not going to read the books, why do you need to know who died in them? What difference does it make?
And what about watching the movies? Kids do sleep sometimes. :-)

Well I dont understand why you need to know who died if you arent even reading the books. Just wait until the movies come out or go on a different website to find out.

Good idea, get the books on CD. I really don't wanna spoil it for you, it was spoiled for me and I was really mad that I knew what was coming. They're really good books, don't miss out.
