Yes. I was able to detain a prowler/peeping tom the other night in our neighborhood with my gun, helped to bring peace of mind back to the neighborhood and guess what, I was arrested too for attempted murder because when the police rolled up I had the gun to this perverts head. The DA has told me my charges will probably be dropped.

Guns are safer than dogs, if for no other reason a firearm is an inanimate object that needs an outside force to cause it to fire. Dogs allegedly have a brain and can revert to their nature and attack people.
So if you think that people should be allowed to have pets then people should be allowed to own tools.

Yes. We own a lot of them. My husband keep one in his vehicles. And they are legal.
What is with all the thumbs down?
FYI: All of the guns in my house are in a Gun Safe that only me and my husband know the code to. He has a permit to carry the gun that is in his truck. The world is too mean to be unprotected.

legally yes, if you have kids I would reconsider. I wish that there wasn't a reason people think they need guns. If it makes them feel safer I guess. They scare the crap out of me though.

Only if you know how to handle it. That, and you keep it LOCKED in a safe place where kids can't get to it. Then, and only then should you have one. I have a 12 gauge shotgun, and a 22 rifle. Both are impossible to shoot right now because they are locked away.
