It depends on what parts of the body you want to pierce. For general ear piercing, you usually receive training during a cosmetology program or through equivalent work experience.

For more "intense" piercings, there is a higher risk involved, and therefore you need to have an excellent knowledge of the process you're undertaking. Try going to some professional piercers around your area that have good reputations for cleanliness and skill, and asking if they would be willing to take you on as an apprentice, and explain to you a few tricks of the trade.

All you need to do is get a job at one of those Claire's-type stores. After you've been working there for a while, and they see that you're reliable, they will start to train you in piercings.

As far as qualifications, you need none. You're basically just punching holes in people's ears. It's not all that hard. If you've got any retail experience, they will hire you if they're looking for help.

if you want to work with needles and ink or dies
why don't you learn to sew or knit crochet even needle point or learn the art of canvas and painting..
and if this seems boring try the art of acupuncture

Go to a place like Claire's or another place that specializes in it and ask them. I don't think there's much qualification, probably just a quick class.

but you do need some sort of training in health and safety if u r opening up your own premesis
